About Rafał Szewc

I’m Rafał Szewc, a software engineer with more than 12 years of experience, part of it at SAP. I run RS Mobile on my own from Gliwice, in southern Poland, and I build software end to end: web platforms, native iOS and Android apps, AI features and systems for manufacturing companies.

You work directly with me, the engineer who writes the code. There is no agency layer and no hand-off to juniors, so your questions are answered by the person who knows the system, and decisions are made quickly.

What I build

  • Web platforms: the backend and API, the web app and the admin or partner panels. I mostly work with Java and Spring Boot, Angular 22, MySQL and Elasticsearch.
  • Native iOS and Android apps: SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose, running on the same backend and translations as the web app.
  • AI features: reading documents and drawings, search that understands plain sentences, and importing data from links. I use OpenAI APIs, or local models run through Ollama when the data should stay on the company’s own server.
  • Systems for manufacturing companies: quoting, production orders, material certificates and invoices from KSeF, Poland’s national e-invoicing system, connected to the tools the company already uses.

Selected work

I designed and built each of these systems myself. The case studies show the screens and explain how each one works.

  • Turlo: a commission-free trip search engine with a web app, native iOS and Android apps and one Spring Boot backend, in 16 languages. Organizers add an offer by pasting a link, and travellers can search in plain sentences.
  • Kuźnia Polska: a web calculator for pricing closed-die steel forgings that replaced an Excel workbook, plus a prototype of local AI that reads customer drawings.
  • Mostostal Zabrze: a tool that uses a local AI model to find the EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate for each line of a material list by heat number, then saves that page as a labelled PDF.
  • Humavit: a production system for a dietary supplement manufacturer, from capsule recipes and raw material orders to production stages, margins and invoices downloaded from KSeF.
  • Lakotech: an order manager for a sheet-metal and powder-coating shop, from a folder of DXF drawings to the delivery note and part labels, with orders written in a WhatsApp group turned into tasks.

How I work

  1. A short call about one process or one product idea.
  2. A proof of concept on your real data: 2–4 weeks, PLN 10,000–25,000 net (about €2,300–5,700).
  3. The system, built and released in stages.
  4. Maintenance after launch: backups, updates, monitoring and small fixes for PLN 1,000–2,000 net a month (about €230–460).

Earlier in my career I worked at SAP, so I know ERP systems from the inside. That helps in two ways: I can connect a new tool to the system a company already runs, and I can tell when a small, focused tool will do the job better than another large system.

Where I work from

I work from Gliwice, Poland, on Central European Time: the same working day as Berlin, Amsterdam and Stockholm, and one hour ahead of London. I work in English and Polish.

Contact

The quickest way to start is the quote form: a few sentences about what you want to build are enough. You can also call me or message me on WhatsApp at +48 517 297 217, or find me on LinkedIn. I also write about building apps and software in Poland on the blog.

I reply within one business hour. My projects start with a proof of concept on your real data: PLN 10,000–25,000 net (about €2,300–5,700), 2–4 weeks.
